NSS:
The N.S.S. is optional for students of the college. Two N.S.S. Units of 100 students are functioning in this college under two N.S.S. programme officer.
The objective of the N.s.s. are classified under two board category.

The overall objectives of the National Service scheme is EDUCATION service to the community is the thing through which this objective is sought to be attained.
The more specific objective of the National Service Scheme are to arouse in the students social conscience and to provide them with the opportunity.
1. To work with and among people.
2. To engage in creative and constructive social action of community through a contact with reality.
3. To enhance the students knowledge of themselves and of community through a contact with reality.
4. To put the scholarship to practical use in solving at least some of the social problems.
5. To gain skills in exercise of democratic leadership.
6. To gain skills in the development programme to enable him to get himself employed.
i)To identify urgent needs of the various communities and agencies.
ii) To undertake and execute programmes to meet community needs
iii) To establish and maintain supplementary service to meet community needs.
iv) To develop programmes of significant welfare.
v) To build infrastructure for economic and social development.
vi) To strengthen social solidarity and national integration. the following is the programme of activities suggested.
PROGRAMME
a). Literacy.
b) Social Education.
c) School Social Service such as helping students in studies, promoting students attendance, promoting admission of students specially of backward classes.
d) Book Banks.
a) Building and repair of roads.
b) Digging, rennovation, cleaning of tanks and wells.
c) Improvement of public places like School, hospital etc.
d) Helping during cultivation and harvest.
e) Tree Plantation .
f) Promoting kitchen garden.
g) Preservation of ancient monuments.
a) Organizing playgrounds for both school going and non- going children.
b) Organizing sports, music, dramatic competitions etc. in the community.
a) Service to patients in the hospital and outside the hospital, ward visits, letter writing for patients.
b) Health education and demonstration of nutritive food preparation.
c) Inoculation etc.
5. CAMPAIGNS:
a) For the eradication of social evils like untouchables, superstitions, child marriage, dowry etc.
b) for improvement of slum conditions, sanitation.
c) for the improvement of agriculture, consolidations of holdings and cooperative farming.
d) Anti- corruption drive.
e) Drive against Ticket less travel.
6. SERVICE DURING EMERGENCY AND NATURAL CALAMITIES:

Special camps (10/15days) are organized in different areas (rural, urban, tribal, slum and college campus) for executing specific projects such as youth against dirt and disease. Youth against national disintegration and youth against deforestation.
Prospective student volunteers are to apply in a different form available at the N.S.S. office for registration. It is expected from each student that he/she devotes 120 hours for the N.S.S. work in the year out of which at least 20 hours be used for orientation programme.
